Back on March 2, 2022, I met these two guys who identified themselves — verbally and by their flag — as proud Puerto Rican Americans. They were the most vocal (and inebriated?) of a group of 9–10 men and 2–3 women gathered in front of the Carousel at Coney Island. These two gentlemen stood with their flag apart from the others, in the middle of the boardwalk, as if trolling…
